Greetings sisters and brothers,

My name is Fatima M. YORK and I’m a curly hair specialist and a wellness coach. I’m from Brooklyn NY. My specialty is to educate women of color on how to care for and learn to embrace their natural curls. Curly hair was looked upon as unattractive and inappropriate in society for many years. It has caused women of color to feel insecure and unappreciated.

Many were discriminated against for wearing their hair natural including styles like braids, locks, afro’s Etc. It was time for change and I’m so proud to have dedicated 28 years of my life to this movement.. I began focusing on this journey in NY since the late 90s. I then moved to Atlanta, GA in 2001 and opened my first salon. It was 1 of 3 during that time. Over the years I patiently trained and educated future stylist, educators, and as
well as clients.

Today I’m so proud to witness the curly hair revolution. It has finally dominated the beauty industry all around the world.
Now I’m here in in Berlin Germany spreading the knowledge and continuing my mission.
